At an abandoned hamlet in Italy, a Yorkshire couple drive a digger through a derelict building and unearth some fascinating artefacts. There's a slip-up at a village in Portugal as guests arrive with nowhere to stay, while over in France, a medieval watchtower finally gets a new staircase.
