Jane Haag, a successful software consultant in Orange County, CA, rarely has time to date but then she meets Ron. They quickly fall in love, move in together and get engaged, but she later discovers that he is a virtual time bomb about to explode. Ron becomes abusive and, after Jane leaves him, he targets her friend, robs her home, and attempts to sabotage her career.
